The AIRTEC Front Mount Intercooler for Abarth 500/595 replaces the restrictive factory twin-intercooler system with a high-flow, short-pipe design. As a result, the upgrade improves cooling efficiency, reduces turbo lag, and delivers more consistent power. Additionally, with a 60mm bar-and-plate core and redesigned end tanks, the AIRTEC FMIC increases airflow while maintaining fast turbo spool.
Furthermore, the kit uses 50mm pipework into the turbo for rapid response and 60mm pipework out of the turbo to match the throttle body. Consequently, this balanced design provides both efficiency and maximum performance.
During dyno testing on a Fiat 500 Abarth fitted with a cat-back exhaust, the AIRTEC intercooler consistently dropped intake temperatures by up to 100°C. Even after repeated power runs, it showed no signs of heat soak, ensuring dependable performance on the road and track.
